HER 5 PARTY-PREPPING TIPS
1. Turn the preparation into a pre-party. Heidi and her entourage, hair stylist Helena Faccenda of MSN Style Studio's Glam Squad, makeup artist Linda Hay and manicurist Niki Le took plenty of primping breaks to chow down on pepperoni pizza.
2. Make it quick and simple. Heidi's makeup artist skipped the heavy eye makeup and made her look gorgeous with huge eyelashes, which she says are easily doable at home with three coats of mascara and an eyelash curler.
3. Pick a dress that will do all the work for you. "When I saw this classic Hollywood-inspired gown, I knew it was going to work no matter what," Heidi said.
4. Get a second and third opinion. In addition to Heidi's glam squad, hubby Seal and mom Erna were close on hand to give her a final once-over.
5. Don't sweat the small stuff. When a whole bottle of water spilled on Heidi's vintage Dior gown moments before the red carpet, "Everyone turned on the heat in the limo and held the gown out the window to dry it for me!" Heidi exclaimed.
