Brit DJ darling Samantha Ronson was spotted without girlfriend Lindsay Lohan two days in a row now. She looked amused when the paparrazi took her photos, but started busily texting to avoid looking straight at the cameras. Samantha has probably more on her mind than to make much of the media attention. She has shows booked at Deko Lounge in South Amboy in New Jersey, on January 15th, followed by back-to-back gigs on the East Coast the weekend after. She will be returning to sunny Florida for a private ESPN Super Bowl Party on January 30. As for her attire yesterday, well, it was her usual: jeans, white T, pullover, leather jacket, boots, and beannie.

She went shopping by her lonesome yesterday at Burberry in a black leather jacket, white printed T, brown jeans, brown heeled shoes, and black bag. She did have her hair done and down, which suits her. Notice she’s holding a cigarette, much like her recent pictures these days.

Despite the cute military style jacket with ruffle hem, the 29-year-old actress just didn’t look quite right. Her somber mood is such a change from her usual bubbly persona, after all.

Two Kates, two covers, one magazine. Well, one for the US and for the UK, anyway. “Bride Wars” actress Kate Hudson covers Elle - US for February 2009, while “The Reader” star Kate Winslet covers Elle -UK. The difference of course, lies in the creative direction of the publications, photographers, stylists. For the US version, Kate Hudson looks like herself — pretty, charming, and bubbly. For the UK mag, however, Kate Winslet at first glance didn’t look like her, but instead, more of a mature rock chick. Others say they like the styling, and I suppose it does project who the “Titanic” beauty is and to others the cover is visually appealing. Ah well…

After showing off her hot bod in sultry poses for Maxim, Hilary Duff went furniture shopping in sweats and later dined with friends at a favorite restaurant of hers, Katsuya, in a black fitting mini under a black and gray cardigan and black scarf. I liked how she brightened up her attire with a brown belt. Not so keen about the white wristwatch, though.
