Though Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi has set her mark in the Western movie world with Hollywood blockbusters like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Memoirs of a Geisha, she still maintains her Oriental sensibilities and is very much a modest Asian woman at heart.

“Chinese women are much more modest than American women when it comes to clothes. We tend to show less flesh."

"I like a natural and clean look. Having makeup on, I cannot recognize myself. It changes my feelings in my heart."

Zhang Ziyi’s acting talent, martial arts skills and pretty face makes me green with envy. But not this green dress, or her fashion sense. The dress is actually okay, the styling is just a little bit off.

After Zhang Ziyi’s breakthrough role in The Road Home, rumors surfaced of an affair between the young actress and the film’s older director Yimou. Neither party confirmed the rumors.

The beautiful talented Chinese actress remains very tight-lipped about her romances. Though she has been linked to Jackie Chan and Fok Kai-Shan, grandson of Hong Kong tycoon Henry Fok, Zhang does not like to talk about her private life.

Her most recent yet unconfirmed flame is the 41-year-old Israeli venture capitalist Vivi Nevo.

A couple of necklaces, two rings, a sparkly belt, a glittering watch and an anklet. We know that you are supposed to accessorize an LBD, but this is costume jewelry overkill! Zhang Ziyi should keep the belt on and leave the rest at home in her jewelry box.

"I grew up in the most ordinary way in Beijing. My parents are devoted to my brother and me and we take care of each other." The Asian beauty snubs other cities in favor of her homeland, which she deems to be the most serene place in the world.

She adds, "I am Chinese and Beijing is my home. I can't imagine living anywhere else. I love to travel but there is nothing like coming home. The familiar way of life with its smells and sounds and patterns are far too nourishing and important to me to uproot myself from." Stunning actress ZIYI ZHANG refuses to lead a life of celebrity debauchery in Los Angeles or New York, opting instead for a cozy family life. The Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon star has shunned the more corruptive influences of fame and fortune, and she cites her "ordinary" upbringing as the reason the fact-paced Hollywood scene holds no appeal.

Something is terribly wrong with the dress. It appears as if Ziyi's body isn't proportioned as this dress emphasizes a long torso and short legs. But that could just be optical illusion or bad styling, whatever floats your boat.

Her first appearance in an American movie was in Rush Hour 2, but as she didn't speak English, Jackie Chan had to translate everything the director said to her. In that movie, her character's name, "Hu Li" translated from Mandarin Chinese is "Fox".

Pretty Zhang has the most disgusting pink shoes I have ever seen. And what's up with that purse? It looks like she borrowed it from her niece! Zhang might be pretty but she still looks like a fish out water in this dress.

Ziyi Zhang prefers light makeup.

"I like natural and clean look. Having makeup on, I cannot recognize myself. It changes myfeelings in my heart."

"Whenever I do photoshoots in the U.S., I always tel them to give me light makeup, please! The things I hate most is when they give me heavy red lips.

I think women are most beautiful with light makeup.

She reminds me of a broomstick. Maybe a few more pounds and a nice gown next time.

Ziyi Zhang was named 50 Most Beautiful People by People Magazine in 2005. But Zhang says, "In China, we don't consider someone truly beautiful until we have known them for a long time, and we know what's underneath the skin."

I agree with you Ziyi, I think Hollywood equates "BEAUTIFUL" to who is "MOST TALKED ABOUT" right now, not necessarily the most physically appealing at times because can you imagine Jennifer Maniston being a part of that list five times??? And I say this with all sincerity, you are five million times prettier than that Maniston chick/guy.

In 2002, Ziyi won best villain at the MTV Movie Awards for Rush Hour 2. Funny, she dresses like one too! Not only that, it's like a trying hard PRETTY WOMAN outfit.
