Jennifer Lopez, Audrina Partridge, and Michelle Trachtenberg have three things in common. (1) They’re all beautiful actresses. (2) They all shopped at Barneys on 17 December. (3) They all wore boots that day.

Jennifer, whose marriage to Marc Anthony was recently rumored to be on the rocks, shopped at Barneys and Saks and Fifth wearing an oversized sweater on top of a brown tee, jeans, and yes, brown boots. The messy pulled up hair doesn’t become her, though.

Gossip Girl will reportedly welcome back Michelle as Georgina Sparks with open arms, albeit toward the end of the season. Like the blue scarf that brightens her whole look. Cute jacket she has there, too. The bag, though, would be better for her mom.

The Hills star Audrina, looked fab in her leather swing jacket over a fitted tee when she visited Barneys and Nike. She was, as always, hot in her casual look. When E! asked how long she thinks the show would last, she quipped, “I don’t know, it’s not my perfect world. It would just depend on who’s interested.”

We all know Michelle Trachtenberg loves to wear black almost all the time. Only saw her in blue once, and even that dress had its upperpart in black. At the Fontainebleu Hotel Grand Opening, she surprised us all by wearing a zebra-inspired black and white spaghetti-strapped dress. I thought she looked stunning in it, until she graced the pink carpet of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show looking gorgeous and sultry in a new LBD. So go ahead and continue wearing black, Michele. It so suits you.

A classic dress can make a statement if worn well, paired with the right accessories, and well, a not-so-classic color. Take singer Katharine McPhee who hit the Women in Hollywood event in her green Karen Zambos dress. Although this was already posted before, she looks so glam in it I just have to make the comparison. Actress Michele Trachtenberg, however, chose the black version (Hmm… Isn’t she almost always in black?) of the cowl-necked frock for the opening of XIV restaurant in L.A. a week later. No wow, there. Besides, Katharine’s figure is flattered by the dress, while Michelle… Well, it’s Michelle.

It’s a silver sleeveless dress with tulle rosettes and chain link detail and it would be the one on the left.

I love that tunic dress just not on Michelle Trachtenberg’s skin tone! While Molly Stanton looks better, her bag and shoes do not . Michelle got the clutch right, the shoes wrong.

A point goes to Michelle for wearing this dress one year early - she wore this in 2007.

Shoe advice: Better with silver metallic open toe d’ Orsay
