Alicia Silverstone reportedly pulled out of US TV show ‘How I Met Your Mother’ after learning Britney Spears was appearing in the same episode.

The ‘Clueless’ star - who is a huge fan of the hit series - was scheduled to appear in the 14th episode of the season but dropped out after deciding it would be too “chaotic”, according to E! Online.

A source close to the actress said: “Alicia was really excited about appearing on the show, but when she found out she would have to share the spotlight with Britney she wasn’t too keen.

“She knows that everyone would be going out of their way to look after Britney, and it would be so chaotic nobody would look after her.”

Boston founder Tom Scholz has been honored for his animal rights efforts in Los Angeles. The rocker was presented with the "Celebrity Animal Advocate Of The Year" award at the recent Animal Rights National Conference.

A longtime vegetarian, Scholz joins celebrities like Linda Blair, James Cromwell and Alicia Silverstone as recipients of the honor. Scholz dedicated his award to late Boston frontman Brad Delp, a fellow animal rights activist.

He told the conference guests, "His commitment to ethical vegetarianism over thirty years ago was a major factor in my emerging awareness of the unnecessary cruelty to animals in our society."

We know Alicia is an animal lover but please when photographers say bring out the tiger (or cheetah for that matter) in you, they didn't mean to wear one on a shirt.  This looks like a souvenir shirt from some amusement park with animal rides and costs around $10 to $15.
