Baring flesh here and there are what several female celebrities, in particular, like to do. Question is when is it just right and when is it too much. Well, for Christina Ricci, who usually goes over the top, her surprise worked this time around. The conservative neckline of the Atelier Versace dress balances out the plunging back, showing off Christina’s tattoos, while still looking all glam. Turning heads at the 2008 Whitney Museum of American Art Gala.

In Love with Yellow

Let’s look at the Liz and Christina alone because their men obviously lack a sense of style. Trucker caps and orange flowers on boxers? Come on!

The deep V on Liz’ frock is more my style but Christina looks equally terrific in her easy tube dress. When you’re happy and in love, wear yellow.

Actress Christina Ricci is so obsessed with her packing rituals she feels depressed if she doesn't have time to complete them before travelling to a new city.
The Speed Racer star, 28, has admitted to an out-of-control shopping habit, and now says she's gone to extremes, organizing her overflowing closet in order to prevent her from spiralling into a depression.
She says, "I have to make a list of every single item, down to three T-shirts, two sweaters. I look at my list and I check things off. I like order.
"When things are messy or a suitcase is exploding, I feel out of sorts. Coming back to a sloppy room is very depressing to me."

Sarah Michelle might have worn this black strapless number by Bottega Veneta to the Costume Gala but sometimes it boils down to who wore it better. Christina's diamond and emerald necklace made her dress more dramatic, fabulous and elegant. She is simply beautiful.

Actress Christina Ricci is living in fear of a wild predator running wild near her Hollywood home.
The star confesses she's too scared to spend any time outside, convinced the bobcat will savage her.
She says, "There's a bobcat in my neighbourhood. Now I run from my car into my house. I'm terrified of getting eaten by a bobcat. They eat people."

Christina goes for the little black dress in her black one-shoulder Balmain creation with keyhole detail at the Tribeca Film Festival. It's a little too safe but her new 'do makes a better conversation piece.

Actress Christina Ricci wants to dedicate her career to making family films - because she's sick of sex, drugs and sleaze on screen.

The star appears in new family-oriented race-car movie Speed Racer, and loved the experience so much she is pushing for more clean-cut roles - and she wants the rest of Hollywood to follow suit.

Ricci, who has played sex-hungry tramps and nymphomaniacs on screen, says, "I wanted to do a kids movie again. I wanted to do a family film. There are so many family movies for kids but they don't actually teach you anything.

"Speed Racer really stresses integrity and morals and a love of family, and that's something I think is really important and a trend we need to bring back."

Lynda Carter, the blue eyed wonder of the hit and hot tv show Wonder Woman in the 70's is definitely the inspiration of this creation. I love that show!

I think Ricci - considering the theme for the gala was superheroes - was probably the only one who got what the doctor ordered. It's fun and funny at the same time!

Christina Ricci

“I think that I went through the same growing pains and partying in my late teens and early 20s, but there wasn’t the level of media scrutiny and paparazzi that there is now. I managed to do that without people taking pictures or judging me, but I am not interested in that life anymore. Had I had that level of media attention, I certainly would have been in just as much trouble as everyone else is these days. When you’re a teenager or you are in your early 20s, you do stupid things, and if people are documenting those things, it will lead to a whole lot of self-consciousness and confusion and that just leads to more trouble.”

“The only way to make sure you fit into what their vision is, is to do what they tell you to do. Once you let that control go, it allows you to just play, and it couldn’t have been a more playful set. We were all in these funny costumes, and the cast had such a great time and loved each other so much and our confidence in them freed us up to commit to this style of acting and the kind of dialogue that we had to deliver. I don’t know if we would have done it as easily if we were busy trying to control things.”

What this outfit tells us: that a. Christina is skinny and may need to add a few pounds and b.  pencil skirts are executive women territory and should be left that way.

Ricci on Reese

"Well it was sort of odd. She flew in the day after she won her Oscar, and then maybe two days after that we were on the back of the Vespa and I’m wearing this out-of-context, somewhat ridiculous coat and scarf and she’s got the dorky helmet on and the whole gear. We’re not really driving the Vespa, we’re just riding on the back of it, on a trailer. And we were going through London streets and people all over were just yelling, “Reese! That’s Reese Witherspoon!” and they were honking. It was hilarious. I was just saying, “This is amazing. You know, 72 hours ago you were dressed in a gown and holding a gorgeous golden Oscar, and now you’re being totally made fun of, on a Vespa in the streets of London.” It was kind of hysterical. (when asked about Reese Witherspoon during the filming of Penelope)

If the dress was shorter maybe it would work but then again there's nothing much you can do to a really boring god-awful dress. Yawning…

Bodyart fan Christina Ricci is on a quest to become a Hollywood superstar - so she can get tattoos all over her body.

The actress is forced to stick to discreet and easy-to-hide etchings, so she isn't rejected for film roles.

She currently has seven scattered all over her body, and she is planning to have a larger design created on her upper arm - as soon as she is famous enough to get away with it.

Ricci says: "I can't wait until I'm super-famous. I'm at the point when I should really hide them, because directors don't like them.

"When I'm really, really super famous, I'm going to get one on my arm - because nobody cares then."

Rose Mcgown is that you? We're still a little undecided if we want to be caught dead wearing a lumberjack/picnic table cloth inspired jacket. But one thing for sure is that it looks weird with gold platforms.
