Who sneaked in a pet into a red carpet event? Aubrey O’Day. That’s who. She visited the Zen Green Tea Liqueur Launch with an unusual date — her pooch, Ginger. Well, the dog is cute, after all. Aubrey’s overall look, on the other hand, wasn’t. She would have looked fab with silver jewelry (to match the silver prints on her gray gown), instead of the gold ones she opted.

Check the checks in Gwen Stefani and Aubrey O’day’s minis! Not sure I’d get caught wearing any of these, but the houndstooth is making a comeback with the retro look in fashion. I certainly won’t spend the $1104 Aubrey did for her red checked dress. At least Gwen only spent $685 on hers and wore a matching bracelet at that. And what poor choice of footwear, Aubrey.

Ah… But ever fashionable Blair Waldorf at Gossip Girl’s Bonfire of the Vanity episode last week wore this fab Marc Jacobs Brilliant Magenta Scribble Houndstooth dress and I became a convert. And it’s way less expensive at that! The dress was originally tagged at $328 at Nieman Marcus, but is now sold out. A good thing Marc Jacobs has other Scribble Houndstooth styles.
