Kylie Minogue launched her own fragrance in Australia last week wearing the exact same Yves Saint Laurent blue belted dress that Becki Newton wore earlier for the US Weekly Hot Hollywood event. Becki, aside from donning the dress first, had a chic gold cuff and YSL heels. Kylie, on the other hand, kept it simple with a pair of satin sandals.

Season 3 of “Ugly Betty” started to seem like it was going nowhere and was boring me to bits– even with Lindsay Lohan’s short stint — until recently, with Grant Bowler joining the cast. His character, Conner Owens, is caught in an interesting “love square” with  Wilhemina (Vanessa Williams), Daniel Meade (Eric Mabius), and Molly (Sarah LaFleur). We’re all rooting for Daniel, but wonder why he’d like to end up with a Plain Jane like Molly, despite her goody-two-shoes and spunkiness. Betty (America Ferrera) has more appeal, especially since she got into YETI (young editors training, institute — showing her character’s potential growth in the series), along with fellow editorial assistant Mark (Michael Urie).  Forming a new allegiance, will  that leave Amanda  (Becki Newton) out of the loop? Then again, she does room in now with Betty and shows she can make Betty’s uuugly fashion choices into something fab. Me thinks I’ll continue watching the rest of the season, after all.

Working for a fashion magazine on Ugly Betty must have really rubbed off on Becki Newton. She has more hits than misses on the red carpet. At the Gucci party, she added some height to her petite frame in her Gucci sky-high platforms and mini studded tunic that projectes bohemian chic. You go, girl!

Several female celebs have been spotted lately wearing white suits as an alternative to the common black. Harder to pull off and keep in pristine condition, though. At night time, they do stand out, but not the perfect time to wear them, being more associated with day time wear.

Kate Hudson wore a white suit back in August when the weather was warmer, albeit messily. Becki Newton wore her white suit at the recent 2008 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show with shoes that match her inner blouse, but with a messy do.

Ashley and Becki are busy, busy, busy! Busy with their prints, I mean.  Both girls give me a headache. But if I have to choose (do I have to?), I’d go for Becki’s simple silhouette because she’s got prettier shoes too. Ashley and her magician’s jacket should just go poof!
