Brittany Murphy

“I grew up doing all that stuff because I was obsessed with the ’50s. I had sock hops for birthday parties. So I’ve always done The Twist and stuff. It was pretty natural and, with my parents doing it all the time, I’d just copy them. Not very pretty.”

“I mean, I’m pretty good in real life, but sometimes people seem surprised that I’m like a normal teenager and wear black nail polish and I’m just a little bit more edgy than the person I play on television.”

“I never thought I was going to be able to drive. The first time I even went out and started driving, I hit a bus with my driver’s ed coach.”

“It’s really funny, because when I told all my friends I was doing this project with John Travolta and Queen Latifah, they were like, “Oh, that’s awesome,” but when I said I was going to be working with Zac Efron, they all went crazy and were like, “NO WAY!”"

This is one of those ugly variation of the gladiator sandals which I am not a fan of. It’s like Hannibal Lecter on a shoe - a very pretty scary sight. Not loving that white tank with leather skirt either.

Brittany Hates Being Super Fit

Hairspray star Brittany Snow has revealed she’s fired her personal trainer because she’d rather have fun that be super fit.

The actress revealed last year that as a teenager, she’d been diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder, anorexia and an unhealthy obsession with exercise, dropping down to just 85lbs (6st) at her lowest point.

But she told People magazine this weekend that she’s moved on so far from those days that she’s not even interested in sticking to specific exercise programme or diet these days: “[I’m] done with the trainer. I cancelled my trainer.

“I refuse to do the whole diet, fitness, style thing anymore. I just kind of go and have fun. I know what I like, I know what makes me feel good, and that’s just what I do.

“I go to the gym everyday, I eat really well, I buy dresses by myself. I want to work and be with my friends. That’s all I really care about.”

Brittany's burgundy dress has potential for cuteness, if only she knew how to accessorize. She's just too bare with those plain pumps and a naked neck. The barely there earrings doesn't fit the bill.

"Voice work still requires a strong sense of character."

"This whole physical comedy thing is far more me than a lot of other roles that I've played before. It's more truly me than the person that my family has to deal with, the klutz idiot."

"Sticking to your values, listening to your instincts, making your own choices is so important."

"Singing is such a joy. I was never formally trained in acting or singing. I've been singing since I was born."

"Some secrets should remain secrets, but I'm not sure I can think of myself that way."

"Individuality is vitally important. When people start to lose their individuality, they start to lose themselves."

Brittany's outfit must have been inspired by the movie the Devil Wears Prada but then again I think she should watch it a few more times to get it right.

Brittany: Creativity is Her Second Name

If you've been told all your life that you're good-looking, people just flock around you and you never really have to try or have to learn an interesting craft, skill or hobby - or even have depth.

I've been a vegetarian for so long, I forgot how much I missed meat. You know you don't realize how important meat is to you until you don't have it for long time.

I'm a creative person. I've always chosen people who are entertaining themselves.

I ask a lot because I'm very curious - especially about ex-girlfriends. I'm pretty good at getting the answers, too.

I'm not someone who's generally kept the same hair color. I like to be able to change it. You know, if you can't change your surroundings, change your hair color!

So many things going on with this dress. If they weren't too embroidery happy then it wouldn't have looked like table cloth.

Brittany Isn’t a Poor Thing

BRITTANY MURPHY is reportedly top of the list to replace LINDSAY LOHAN in new movie POOR THINGS - after the star dropped out to begin a stint in rehab.

Lohan had been signed up to play the leading role in the dark comedy but was forced to quit when she was admitted to the Cirque Lodge in Utah last summer (07) after two driving under the influence incidents landed her an 84-minute stint in jail.

And now, according to the Hollywood Reporter, movie bosses are lining up Just Married actress Murphy to join the cast, which already includes Shirley MacLaine, Olympia Dukakis, Rosario Dawson and Channing Tatum.

The film, about two female con artists, will be directed by Scott Marshall, whose 2007 movie Blonde Ambition, starring Jessica Simpson, went straight to DVD after a limited cinema release saw the movie flop.

This is waaaaaay too much. Brittany's black and white overload is a migraine magnet. She needs to meet up with Rainbow Brite sometime. It might do her some good.

Brittany’s Thoughts

Brittany Murphy

I've made a conscious choice to do more romantic comedies. I want to show people I can play normal characters you'd meet on the street, not in an institution. - On deciding to do more romantic comedies.

I love hockey. If there's a game on, I will watch it. I was even on a team for, like, a minute, though it didn't occur to me until our first game, after I was suited up and had my skates on that I hadn't been on the ice in a while. So I was basically the comic relief. - Brittany's short stint as a hockey player.

I don't really take roles home with me. Though there's inevitably a little piece of something - maybe the character's spirit - that ends up lingering for a week or two until I pick up somebody else to come inside my body. - Brittany on taking work home with her.

People ask me about the 'weight' thing. And I say, 'Yeah, I lost 10 pounds of eyebrows!' Those things were so huge!

Brittany sporting the latest no skid, cushioned bath mats. Fits most bath tubs and showers. Trims to desired size. Your bath tub will never be the same again.

Don’t Take Brittany Seriously

Brittany Murphy

I can play any instrument if you give me 20 minutes.

I consider myself a character actor.

I don't even take myself seriously, so how could I possibly take Hollywood seriously?

I don't think Hollywood per se is supposed to be taken seriously, otherwise, dear Lord, that would be frightening.

I'd love to be a man for a day, just to see what it's like.

Tired is not a word in my vocabulary.

The older I get, the more I embrace my own idiosyncrasies.

This outfit reminds me of one of the outfits Anne Hathaway wore in Devil Wears Prada. I love this look even if Brittany didn't accessorize. Imagine if she did!

This is a tried and tested look and I would choose this any day of the week than wear Mischa Barton's wardrobe!

Crack Baby Brittany

Brittany Murphy

Brittany’s nickname in school was ‘Crack Baby‘, due to her constant giggling in Maths class.

In 2000, Brittany appeared in The Vagina Monologues, which involved reading a story of a Bosnian woman's experiences in a rape camp.

Murphy has confirmed that she did enjoy a romance with rap superstar Eminem on the set of their film 8 Mile. (October 31, 2002)

Brittany's salary is $1,000,000 to $3,000,000 per film.

Brittany sings on Paul Oakenfold's hit single "Faster Kill Pussycat".

on Dakota Fanning: Oh Lord, she's the best at being nine that I've ever seen. She is so wildly intelligent. I could eat up all the time in the world to speak about Dakota. Dakota is a ray of sunshine and obviously wise beyond her years. Her soul is so old and beautiful. She is so there and intuitive of other people. That's one of the attributes that makes her such a brilliant actress, her hyper awareness to other people's feelings and her openness. But aside from that, you could talk to her like your best girlfriend, but you can't forget she's nine. She is nine years old and she has the most adorable, hysterical sense of humor. She's as funny as the day is long. She's a giggle bunny and will do cartwheels with me. She's very much nine, but a very, very old soul. She's so intelligent.

I am a serial monogamist so it's hard for me to get a date as it is. One thing I did learn from my last relationship is not to speak about relationships any more.

I always wear heels. If not, I'm barefoot.

Rating: 2

I'd rather see her barefoot than wear boots that could kill in just one kick. I know one must  have a pair of killer boots in her closet but we're definitely not talking about this one.
