After unceremoniously ending her three-year relationship with New England Patriots Tom Brady while being pregnant with their child, Bridget Moynahan recalls the back-to-back turmoil she faced handling both pregnancy and heartbreak.

"When you're suddenly pregnant and no one is standing by your side, even if you're in your 30s, it's a hard conversation. I'm a traditional girl, and I believe in marriage, and I just always thought that's the way I'd be doing this," the 37-year-old actress revealed in the July issue of Harper’s Bazaar, "For a moment, it was hard for me to accept that this was the way I was going to have a family."

Bridget never planned to be a single mother and admits that the first few moments with her newborn was “frightening.” But with help from family and friends, the actress now says that having a child is the “best thing in the world.” Her son John, born last August, carries her last name. Her ex-flame Brody is currently dating Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
