We’ve called Nicole Kidman classy so many times and nobody can question that. She can transform a simple black dress into something fabulous by just slipping into it. I’m just wowed. It’s just perfect how she wore plain silver peep toes to match the bejeweled neckline.

At the London premiere of “Australia”, the actress wore another dress by the said designer, this time a white sequined one from the 2009 Spring Collection. Okay, we gave her a lot of flak for wearing awful outfits recently so she went back to the basics, in grey at the Madrid photocall and now, at the Rome premiere of “Australia”, Nicole Kidman chose to wear a simple LBD. It may be 40s-inspired, but a little too plain. Shoes, too. A good thing she added a gold bangle that matches the color of her hair.

Nicole Kidman has been a fashion icon for so long everyone must have thought whatever she wore was fab, including herself. What was she thinking (or in this case, not thinking) when she wore this Dries Van Noten (Who?) silver dress? Yes, yes, silver is the color for Hollywood glam, but not when it looks like sparkly snakeskin. Well, the most venomous snakes are known to be found Down Under, so maybe she was getting herself in “Australia” mode. Ha ha.
