Two Kates, two covers, one magazine. Well, one for the US and for the UK, anyway. “Bride Wars” actress Kate Hudson covers Elle - US for February 2009, while “The Reader” star Kate Winslet covers Elle -UK. The difference of course, lies in the creative direction of the publications, photographers, stylists. For the US version, Kate Hudson looks like herself — pretty, charming, and bubbly. For the UK mag, however, Kate Winslet at first glance didn’t look like her, but instead, more of a mature rock chick. Others say they like the styling, and I suppose it does project who the “Titanic” beauty is and to others the cover is visually appealing. Ah well…

Some would argue that “Bride Wars” actress Kate Hudson looked fab when she showed up for the “Late Show” last night. I beg to disagree. Yes, the body-hugging dress showed of her curves and no one will now say her Harper’s Bazaar photos were photoshopped. And yes, the backless number made her sexier. The big “but”, however, is the material and colors of her dress. She looks like an emissary of Emerald City. Definitely not the usual Kate Hudson attire.

People Magazine’s best dressed lister Kate Hudson starts the new year with a huge disappointment. I thought she was promoting Bridewars? How come she turned out doing Splash instead?

Kate Hudson rose to fame when she starred in “Almost Famous” and graced its posters. After that, it has been a bumpy yet good ride. She married rocker Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes and after six years and one child with him, Ryder, Kate finds herself in the midst of divorcing him and dating on-and-off actor Owen Wilson.
Featured on the cover of Harper ’s Bazaar UK magazine, the daughter of Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel (whom she regards as her father) shows off her hot bod. She did, after all, just spend four months in Australia shooting for “Fool’s Gold”, in which she stars with Matthew McConaughey. Inside the magazine, Kate talks about her personal life, the ups and downs of being a single and working mom, her obsession with lingerie, and her distaste for tapered jeans.

The year is about to end and I just have to share the finds I’ve made — thanks to some of our more fashionable female celebs out there. [1] Members Only Women’s Classic Leather Bomber Jacket that Gossip Girl Taylor Momsen often wore, which I got at Bloomingdales for $649; [2] Giorgio Armani Aviator Shades Lauren Conrad sported that I found at Amazon.com for $164.99; [3] Tolani Honeycomb Combo scarves re the fave of Jessica Alba and I was able to purchase a couple for only $75 each at IndigoSkyNY.com; [4] Christian Louboutin Ariella Talon Boots fashion icon Victoria Beckham loved to wear are currently a steal for only $649 on Ebay.com (bidding ends in 18 days!) by seller Mushroom_City; and [5] oval cocktail ring worn by the likes of Hilary Duff, Cameron Diaz, and Kate Hudson that I was able to buy for only $54 at PortiaJewelry.com.
Of course, for Paris Hilton, her pink Bentley is just an accessory and I really would love to have my own, too. Ah… but $200,000 is a but too much. But I can dream, can’t I?

Kate Hudson has always an advocate of bohemian chic. Fall has given her more reasons to bring along her favorite fringe and boho bags, and wear fab jewelry. Her favorite of late is a turquoise bracelet, which she was recently caught wearing leaving and arriving LAX with son Ryder (cute matching sweater there last Friday, along with a large turquoise ring). Hours of searching rewarded me with this Native American Zuni Turquoise Silver Cuff Bracelet at Silvertribe.com as the nearest match. Better still, it’s on sale, now only $64.99 (originally tagged $129.98). So I’m going Boho this weekend and buying my turquoise bracelet — and maybe a pair of earrings and a cocktail ring to match, too.
