Police Found Body of Jen Hudson’s Nephew

It’s downright tragic. Chicago police have confirmed that the body of a young boy found in an abandoned SUV is in fact that of Jennifer Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew, Julian King.

“Tragically, search efforts ended shortly after 7 a.m.,” said Police Superintendent Jody Weis at a press conference this afternoon in Chicago.

“At this time, we can confirm that the body located inside the vehicle was the body of 7-year-old Julian King. The vehicle was towed and taken in…for forensic processing.”

The announcement was made shortly after Jennifer Hudson, accompanied by family members, viewed and identified the body of the young boy. It was the second time within three days that the Oscar winner had to make the trip to the morgue, previously having to identify her slain mother and brother.

An autopsy is, nonetheless, set for Tuesday. A police spokeswoman said that Julian was shot several times, but Weis emphasized that those details were being left to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office to report.

“Today a family and a community are grieving, but we want them to take comfort in knowing that Chicago police and detectives will continue to work around the clock to ensure that justice is served,” Weis stated, as he thanked the Illinois State Police and FBI for their time and efforts.

“The Hudson family members are also a key partner in this investigation, cooperating with detectives every step of the way under stressful and very painful circumstances.”

Julian, the son of  Julia Hudson, Hudson’s sister, was reported missing shortly after a relative discovered the bodies of the actress’ mother, 57-year-old Darnell Donerson, and her older brother, 29-year-old Jason Hudson, last Friday afternoon at the Donerson’s Englewood home. Each were shot to death.

Jen Hudson’s Mom Shot Dead

Jennifer Hudson’s mother, 57-year-old Darnell Donerson, was found dead Friday afternoon in a house on the South Side of Chicago listed in Donerson’s name.

Police officers were reportedly called to a house in the 7000 block of Yale Avenue in the neighborhood of Englewood, where just before 3 p.m. they discovered two unresponsive adults, who had apparently been shot to death.

At that time, the shooting was believed to have been domestic, involving the death of a male and female, according to the police. Various reports are claiming that the other victim was Hudson’s older brother, Jason Hudson.

A police spokeswoman told the Tribune that the female victim was shot in the head, while a 29-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.

A source close to Jennifer Hudson confirmed that an initial local-TV report identifying Donerson as a victim, based on information provided by a representative of the family’s church, Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist, was true.

According to E!Oniline, Jennifer Hudson was in Florida when she heard the news and is currently on her way to Chicago. She had been planning to go to Japan Monday to promote her new album, but that trip has naturally been canceled.

“My faith in God and my family, they’re very realistic and very normal, they’re not into the whole limelight kind of thing, so when I go home to Chicago that’s just another place that’s home,” Hudson, who got engaged last month to boyfriend David Otunga, said in a recent interview with the Associated Press.

“I stand in line with everybody else, or, when I go home to my mom I’m just Jennifer, [so her mother tells her], ‘You get up and you take care of your own stuff.’ And I love that; I don’t like when people tell you everything you want to hear—I want to hear the truth, you know what I mean?”

Fashion for Warring Brides?

Bride Wars stars Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway are having a bad style day. The usually stylish Hudson is encased in a potato sack (in yellow and brown, how appropriate). Anne, on the other hand, went through the biggest crayola box and picked out all the blue. Their movie or their love lives are far more exciting than the messes that these two are wearing, that’s for sure.

Beyonce goes for dreamy and ended up with this flowy nightmare. Why red? Was she sleepwaking when she picked this out?

Once again, AI cast-off Jennifer Hudson topples the diva. The midnight blue color rocks, the silhouette flatters and that megawatt smile proves that she has claimed her place in the A-list.

What’s with the black jumper? Jen Hudson (at a Condé Nast event in L.A.) and Heidi Klum (at Lorraine Schwartz’s NYC fete) belted Michael Kors’ $1,795 jumpsuit, while Sanaa Lathan kept it simple at a Beverly Hills event. Kim Kardashian was spotted in the same jumper, belted, last Tuesday with a Coke Zero and some snacks from Cuvee Wine & Food in Beverly Hills.

4 Jennifer (the jumpsuit flatters her figure)

3 Heidi (who doesn’t have much of a figure)

2 Sanaa (for looking pathetic in the jumper)

Jen Hudson and Taylor Swift could have readily passed as JLo’s bridesmaids in this twin-like frocks. And Taylor is already holding a rose at that.

Taylor oozes romance, but Jen, who just got engaged when she had that photo taken, is all aglow and looks stunning in her dress.

Jennifer Hudson says her new song is about her relationship insecurities.

The singer-and-actress, who is releasing ‘Spotlight’ as the first single from her new album, revealed the lyrics were inspired by her love life.

Jennifer, who has been dating James Payton since 1999, told US TV show ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “It definitely tells a story of me and my life. What I sing really happens to me.”

‘Spotlight’ was written and co-produced by Ne-Yo.

What do you make of the print on Jennifer’s maxi? Mine is either giraffe print or cracked desert land. Surely there are better prints at the fabric store.

Jennifer: A Purse Girl

Jennifer Hudson

(on the likeness she has with her Sex and the City character) I make clothes and knit scarves. But I really love purses! I'm a purse girl, not a shoe girl. I remember, I had a scene where you didn't see my feet. So I took my shoes off. But the director, Michael Patrick King, was like, 'Put those heels back on. You're not fully in character unless you're in heels.' He was serious. I had to put my heels back on."

(on what she has in her private life that gives her security) My faith in God is everything at this point. Also, my family and friends that I’ve had around me pretty much my whole life and my boyfriend, we’ve been together for eight years. I try to keep people around me who’ve been around me, who’ve seen me struggle. They know how dedicated I am and how hard I’ve worked. They know me - not the Jennifer from American Idol and Dreamgirls, but the real Jennifer.

(on her grandmother): She was my biggest inspiration for everything, because she was a singer and she had the passion for it, but she never had the chance and that was the thing that pushed me forward to continue.

(on winning the 2007 Golden Globe award for ‘Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture) Oh, my God. Thank you so much. Wow. I have always dreamed but never, ever this big. This goes far beyond anything I could ever have imagined.

Rating: 2

The question is how did she even get in this dress? Can she even breathe? It's really not nice looking at someone who looks like she's going to explode any moment now. But nice bob Jen.
