Socialite Nicky Hilton broke down in "hysterics" after visiting her older sister Paris in prison on Sunday. The Simple Life reality TV star was sent back to jail on Friday after a California judge reversed the decision to allow her to complete the sentence under house arrest.
Paris was sentenced to 45 days behind bars after a judge found her guilty of violating her probation stemming from a 2006 drink driving arrest. Designer Nicky, 23, admits she was devastated to see her fashion-loving sibling being forced to wear an orange prison jumpsuit.
She tells People.com, "It's sad. It's like right out of the movies."
The socialite's mother Kathy adds, "It's tough. It is. It's just one hour a week: 30 minutes on Sunday and 30 minutes on Tuesday. We talk through glass. And this one (Nicky) left in hysterics. Nicky tried to keep the brave face but - I never see Nicky cry."
Nicky believes her sister has been unfairly treated by Los Angeles authorities and wishes the media would stop wrongly reporting that a drunk driving conviction was the reason for her jail term.
She adds, "What's annoying is all these people are going on television saying that she was drinking and driving. She's not in jail for DUI. That's a big misconception. She's in jail for driving on a suspended license, just like the D.A.'s (District Attorney) wife was. She got a $186 fine."

I think everyone knows that when it comes to good fashion sense between Paris and Nicky, Nicky always came out the winner. She may not be followed by paparazzi so much but she tries to be proper and decent. She knows her colors and she totally knows how to come up with a good outfit. I know some of you will not like the over the top striped wedges but it's actually that detail that added more drama to her plain black and white outfit. It's actually a pretty cool outfit. Good Lord, I saw her once in E's Fashion Police where she was a guest fashion critic. I mean what the hell were they thinking? Just because she designed her dress for a particular event doesn't automatically mean she now has an authority in fashion. She was gushing about the dress she made in that event which made me cringe. The woman can't even tell what's good and bad taste. Outfits like what she's wearing is something that can be useful if Hollywood decides to make Pretty Woman 2, if you catch my drift.
