Lace bustier? Come on Haylie, you can’t pull that off. Madonna would be squirming in her seat right now. If you were planning to seduce someone in this dress, think again - not happening.

It’s All in the Genes

It’s confusing, I know! We have Haylie in a pink top and black pencil skirt with yellow pumps looking more like Hilary’s mom. Doing a Hilary? Hilary does it better.

Hilary’s spaghetti strap with lace overlay top and pencil skirt with layered necklace needs more than parental guidance. It needs common fashion sense which some people apparently don’t have. It just clashes.

I love the necklace just not with that outfit.

Solange and Haylie: Simplicity Won

A reader sent me this, which LBD would I go for, Solange’s or Haylie’s. Actually, none of the above. But if you are going to frisk me andI was naked and had no clothes on, I’d rather go with Haylie’s. Solange’s pink clutch and white shoes are a little too funky for me.

Haylie’s in her strapless number kept it simple all the way except for the snakeskin pumps. Satisfied?

Haylie Duff played Cousin Amy in little sister Hilary's hit kid's show Lizzie McGuire on the Disney Channel. She and Hilary teamed up for a remake of the Go-Go's classic "Our Lips Are Sealed" in 2004, the same year she appeared on the big screen as mean-spirited Summer in Napoleon Dynamite.

"Naturally, everyone thinks siblings would be jealous over each other and fighting, but my dad always said, 'If you ever fight over a part or cry over a part, you guys have to come home!'" -Haylie Duff

This is obviously an attempt to dress up a ho-hum black strapless dress – and it worked out okay. The belt, the clutch and the pumps are cute. Can’t complain.

Haylie in Hollywood

Unknown to many, Haylie Duff has been all around the Hollywood block. She has been everywhere – in award-winning films and TV shows, Broadway and movie soundtracks.

Blink and you’ll miss her in:

The Amanda Show – as a jealous girl in a crowd

Napoleon Dynamite – she plays Summer, the stereotypical popular teenager.

Seventh Heaven – as Sandy, best friend to Simon’s girlfriend

Hairspray – she joined the Broadway cast as mean girl Amber

Raising Helen – on the soundtrack singing “Sweetest Pain”

And you thought she was just Hilary’s older sister.

Haylie gets Fashion 101 down pat by accessorizing her little black dress with some colorful pieces. Just what the stylist ordered. No major fashion misses here. No rave reviews either.

Duffs Forgot Something

A generous Canadian restaurant manager has paid Hilary Duff's bar bill after the pop star left without settling up. Rather than turn the incident into a big fuss, Glowbal Grill & Satay Bar boss Jeffery Penna covered the $400 bill Duff and her sister Haylie forgot to pay.

Penna insists the bill was worth it for a night with the Duff sisters: "They were delightful to be with."

It's aways nice to wear something that pops out when you are wearing all black but I don't think yellow colored pumps is the best choice. Totally no star value.

What Duff Has to Say

Hilary Duff

I pop gum. My parents get so annoyed with me. I know my dad wishes he never taught me how to do that.

I know I can handle dramatic roles, but I don't think I should have to play a young mother on crack to prove it.

I knew I wanted to act, and I was really driven, so I kept going for it. We moved to L.A. full-time when I was 8 or 9.

I also love Dido and Nelly Furtado and people who are really into their music like that. And I love Renee Zellweger.

I started taking singing classes just two years ago. It was great. I never knew I could sing but I kind of found my voice.

I'm drawing the gossip surrounding the celebrity, or the image the celebrity tries to push on us.

Like going to my favorite restaurant, it can sometimes get hard. I just can't go to the mall.

If only Duff's dress was the real deal then it will be worth something at the pawnshop! Seriously, the dress has some major details but there's just too much of gold it's blinding.
