Girls in Leather

Leather clothing has always been associated with the sexy biker look. Some look glam in it, while others shouldn’t even dare think about it.

Luckily for these gals, they’ve got the right figures and attitudes to pull it off. Anne Hathaway carried herself well in this one-shoulder leather mini at the MTV Awards, fitting for the event. To balance it with her natural sweet looks, she wore her hair, princess style with matching sparkling dangling earrings.

Emmy Rossum, at the recent Blackberry party, wore a simple-cut leather dress with stitching. This gal has been caught wearing leather more than once and pulling it off. But somehow, something seems off with the way she looks to me.
Sophia Bush, now she is one hot gal in leather. Don’t let the classic look fool you. With those expressive eyes and mouth of hers, she turned the heat up at the 2008 Hollywood Lifestyle Awards in that leather Port 1961 dress she wore. Strange looking shoes, though.

Sophia’s very comfy yet ultra-luxe sweater is the perfect thing to snuggle with on those cold airplane cabins. Love the skinny jeans, easy flats and sunglasses to cover up tired eyes. Now that’s how they do it in first class.

In the midst of her big labeled luggage is Kim Kardashian. If I had not known better, I swear she picked out her black and red outfit pieces from the economy section.

Snakeskin Totes

Snakeskin totes are all the rave, the say, along with big totes. So stars like Hilary and Sophia have caught on the fad, wearing oh so casual get-ups while bringing one along. Well, Hilary seems casual enough. Sophia, on the other hand, looks as if she left her pants in her rush. She did remember to wear gladiator sandals, though.

Think you’d go for a snakeskin bag? I know I won’t.

3 Hilary, 2 Sophia (she gets a plus for guts and great legs)

Jennifer, Audrina and Sophia’s LBD’s

So which little black dress would you go for?  Sophia’s fun bubble dress? Audrina’s plain strapless number or Jennifer’s sexy cowl neckline dress?

Sophia’s dress is something you can definitely wear when all else fails - like a safety dress. Jennifer’s offers a hint of sexiness without looking slutty. But we would love to see Jennifer in another color too, someday…wishful thinking.

Paris and Sophia: Pussy Cats

Paris and Sophia go wild in jungle theme outfits. Paris’ purple dress is horrible and her purple pumps make me mad. Sophia’s belted number drowns her out or makes her look huge.

They should call Cruella De Ville for a group shot!

Sophia’s Unforgettable on Nip/Tuck

As Brooke Davis on One Tree Hill, Sophia Bush and her cast of friends and enemies took the WB by storm. For those who remember her short-lived appearances on Nip/Tuck, the scene where she was discovered by her boyfriend-to-be making out with another girl is one the mind will not soon forget. The follow-up threesome trials on the show also helped keep Sophia standing out despite the small role. Sophia has made her way onto the big screen with roles in The Hitcher and The Narrows.”In the end, everything gets better. I wish I had known to focus more on things my parents were pushing on me and less on what kids were saying.”
- Sophia Bush, on growing up.

Nothing is worst that a white dress that’s too tight. Sorry, Sophia.

Sophia on Teen Issues

Sophia Bush

Q: What’s the one thing about high school you are glad you don’t have to do again?

Sophia: I don’t have to stay up all night writing papers anymore but I miss school though.

Q: What do you think is a big issue teens have to face today?

Sophia: There are so many. They attack celebrities on blogs and teenagers are attacking each other on MySpace. There is so much negativity around, especially for young women. They’re so competitive. You just hope they’ll learn to love themselves for what they are. Embrace yourself. I’d like to see press outlets doing stories on women of all types. We all have different goals, passions and dreams and you need examples.

Q: What could you just not be without?

Sophia: It’s difficult when I’m traveling but if I’m going to be gone for a long time, I would never leave home without my dog. I’m away from him for four days and I’m dying to see him.

There is only one thing great about this dress -Sophia’s smile. I usually adore Ms. Bush’s clothes, but this dress fits her in all the wrong places! Not only the wrong fit, the wrong shoes. Better choice next time Sophia, smiling can only get you so far!

Sophia’s Theory on Marriage

Sophia Bush

“When I first got here, I was a little timid, but everybody was so welcoming. The cast and crew are really tight now. We try to make time to go out on weekends together.”

“I was a total education geek. I loved school. I loved learning. I loved doing homework. All of my books and notebooks from high school are underlined and highlighted and there are notes all over the margins. And you know, I was a theater kid too. I was all over the place.”

“Marriage is not about age; it’s about finding the right person.”

“I want to get married again and have kids and even adopt.”

“I wanted to be a doctor when I was a kid, but I started doing theater in high school because it was a requirement. At first, I was completely irritated. You know, at the time I was playing volleyball, and I just thought it was a major inconvenience. But I ended up loving it. I made a decision to follow through with it because I never enjoyed anything as much as being up onstage and being someone else. So I decided to pursue it, and voila!”

The Teen Choice Awards didn’t give us one great outfit, everything was either blah or blah blah blah. You can’t stand out at the red carpet wearing upholstery fabric.
