Amy: The Guest-Spot Queen
She performed live at the 2008 Academy Awards, singing Happy Working Song from her movie Enchanted, which was nominated for Best Original Song.
In 1998, she was spotted in the chorus of the Country Dinner Playhouse production of "Anything Goes" by producer Michael Nelson, who made her audition for the movie Drop Dead Gorgeous, which was filming near-by. Amy won the role, and it set her on the road to stardom.
A contract dispute with the producers of the short-lived Rob Lowe series Dr Vegas resulted in her being fired. The show was canceled soon after her final episode aired.
She used to dub herself "the guest-spot queen", after almost 20 guest spots on TV series early in her career.
Before landing her Oscar-nominated role in Junebug, she was planning on quitting acting.
She was raised a Mormon, but departed the religion in her teens.

When they say there are a lot of fish in the ocean, they do they actually mean the red carpet? I have never seen so many mermaid dresses in my life other than the red carpet and it's all fishy and it stinks.
