I feel like I've come out of this grown up, maybe because I live through the character vicariously and she grows up so much during the course of this story. 

I walked off the soggy set of The Day After Tomorrow and ended up in Joel Schumacher's living room for a meeting.

Jessica Alba is desperate to start a family and plans to be a mother to a large brood as soon as possible. The star, who is currently dating movie producer Cash Warren, is keen to get pregnant after spending her childhood surrounded by youngsters.

Pop star Hilary Duff denies having issues with her body image, but insists there is an intense pressure on her to be thin. Duff, 19, has attracted attention with her recent weight loss and blames the media for her self-consciousness.

She says, "If you don't like the way you look or feel insecure, when people say things about you - in magazines or just in everyday life - they can be hurtful.

"But you'll never make them happy."

Reformed country singer Keith Urban credits his 2006 marriage to Nicole Kidman as "the best thing I have ever done". The Australian stars wed in Sydney last June after a whirlwind 11 month romance. However, just four months after the ceremony, Urban checked into rehab for unspecified substance abuse problems.

He says, "As far as being a married man, it is the best thing I have ever done.

"And it is not just about being married; to me, it is about being married to her, to that woman because she has just saved my life - absolutely saved it.

"Everything happens for a reason so the timing of that (rehab) was divinely inspired."

Paula Abdul insists she is "great friends" with Simon Cowell despite their fiery onscreen relationship.

But the 44-year-old singer-turned-talent adjudicator admits she tries to avoid the star when he's being overly facetious.

She says, "Simon and I actually get along great. We have cultivated a fun relationship. He's actually become a really good friend."

And Abdul is adamant any rumors of a romance between the pair is wide of the mark.

She explains, "He makes this stuff up. He said, 'Paula, people want us to hook up so bad.' I said, 'That's disgusting.' He goes, 'Paula, I know you want me,' and I go, 'Like a cold sore.'

"We have fun playing up the chemistry, but there's also times when I would cross the other side of the street so I wouldn't have to look at him."
