Hunky actor Mario Lopez will host the Miss America pageant once again.
TLC and the Miss America Organization announced on Monday that the Extra host will be serving as master of ceremonies for the live event once more. The pageant is set to take place on Jan. 24, in Las Vegas.
Lopez hosted the pageant previously in 2007.
“Mario and the Miss America Organization’s past relationship has proven beneficial and we look forward to having him in Vegas again this year,” said TLC’s programming vice president Brent Zacky.
More than 12,000 young women competed in the state and local competitions to become their state’s finalist for Miss America. Aside from crowning one Miss America, the organization made more than $45 million in cash and scholarship assistance in 2007.
