Celebrities or otherwise, driving with an invalid license still gets you in deep trouble.Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James A. Steele rejected Team Britney’s motion to dismiss the misdemeanor charge filed against her last year for driving with an invalid license. Spears’ attorney, Michael Flanagan disagrees with this decision. As he told E! News, “The law is clear,” Flanagan said. “She should have just been issued a notice to correct pursuant to the vehicle code. The law says you shall issue a notice to correct. They did not do that. They just moved to prosecute. And she corrected it by obtaining a valid California license before she even got the notice.”

The pop tart was carrying a Louisiana license at the time she was involved in a minor fender bender in California last 2007. According to Judge Steele, it is not enough that Spears “simply procure a California driver’s license after the fact and then have the charge dismissed.”
