Love triangle brings shape, sense and sparkle to the story of Coco Chanel’s early life.
Before Chanel as we know it, a determined young orphan name Gabrielle was brought to an orphanage by an indifferent father with her sister Adrienne. Fast forward 15 years later, Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel is living in Paris, working as a seamstress by day and a cabaret dancer by night.
This begins the timeless and legendary saga of the woman who would then create an icon of luxury French fashion that is Chanel. Drected by Anne Fontaine and starring Audrey Tautou, ‘Coco Before Chanel’ is a gorgeous film about the amazing journey on a nondescript woman who would later become the symbol of elegance, power and success.
Behind this movie is a talented and award winning crew. The director of photography is Christophe Beaucarne (Paris, Paint or Make Love); the production designer is Olivier Radot (The Lover), and Alexandre Desplat (Academy Award nominee for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and The Queen) composed the score. With this film given the support of Maison CHANEL, it is sure to be one amazing and inspiring saga. To miss it would be unfashionable!
‘Coco Before Chanel’ is out on September 18.
“The best color in the whole world is the one that looks good, on you!” – Coco Chanel
