What does a rich heiress do to spend the holidays? Spend it with sister and BFF by spending money. Lots of it.

The last leg of Paris Hilton’s holiday travel with sister Nicky and BFF Britney Flickinger is in sunny Australia. Paris has, however, gotten angry reactions by local charity heads about her shopping sprees. World Vision Australia, an organization devoted to securing basic necessities for Third World countries, took issue with Paris allegedly spending $140 per minute shopping in Melbourne.

“In World Vision terms, $5000 would ensure that a village of 2000 people in Africa or Asia would have clean water for the rest of their lives,” said World Vision head Tim Costello.

Wonder if Paris will wear any of the halter dresses she purchased tonight as she hosts Melbourne’s Bongo Virus nightclub’s New Year’s Eve bash.

It’s winter in New York, but Kate Holmes may not be aware of it when she wore denim shorts over black tights the other day. The again, she did wear a cardigan and scarf. She does look cute, though. Perhaps this is her way of showing everyone she’s not really into grandma clothing?

After so much ado about her split from the “Pirates of the Carribean” star, she lost so much weight that the media bugged her about it. But all that’s in the past. She has resurfaced gracefully as the 2008 model of Calvin Klein Jeans, spokesperson for the newest Coach luxury bags, and girlfriend of English model turned singer-songwriter James Rousseau. Soon enough she’ll be gracing the big screen again in “Laundry Warrior” and “Lost Girls and Love Hotels”, too.

“Australia” star Hugh Jackman took a break over the holidays and played with sons Ava Elliott and Oscar Maximillian at the park, all dapper in an all black attire, including a fedora hat. Truly a dashing dad, even at play.

“Gossip Girl” teen actress Taylor Momsen is just gorgeous on the cover and inside pages of Cosmo Girl’s prom issue. She looks like the Taylor we all came to love, before she turned into a rock chick. She positively glowed and looked young and fresh, the way a 15-year-old should.  Hope she chooses to keep this look, at least until she’s 18.

And the prom clothes featured inside the mag? Totally fab.

Katherine Heigl and husband Josh Kelley have much to celebrate over the holidays,  especially their first wedding anniversary! They dined the other night to do just that, at the Matushisa in West Hollywood, California.
The couple were quite jovial and playfully posed for the ever present paparazzi.

Josh was cute in casual gray short and pants; while Katherine was decked out in a black dress, tights, and shoes as she held her choice-vice when she smiled at the cameras, carrying a pink gift bag. From her musician husband, perhaps?

Something went terribly wrong with Paris Hilton’s outfit. Just because you have a leopard print shirt doesn’t mean it’s okay to wear a tiger print shirt under where everyone can see. And why is your BFF dressed like that? She’s dressed so bad, it makes you Paris look great even when you’re not!
