In an interview with the British press, ahead of the launch of her swim wear designs for the clothing chain store Mango, Elizabeth Hurley says shooting bikinis is her life and it has become an "unmitigated hell”.

“I can’t think of anything worse in the world than another bikini shoot - and I’ve got two next month. It’s unbearable, and I bring it all on myself. I’ve got nobody else to blame. It’s literally torture.

"If you get a photographer you don’t know, of course, you think, ‘Oh God.’ But if you signed on for the gig, sadly, you have to go and be jolly in a skimpy white bikini."

Hurley told the Sunday Times she relies on "nice photographers and a bit of retouching" but she insists they don't touch her face.

“I like a certain amount of retouching, like anybody,” she said. “We all like to get rid of spots and shadows under our eyes. I’ve always been quite particular - I don’t like my face to be retouched.

"Often, people will want to correct one’s face, and with me, they always want to change my nose and I’m like, ‘No, no, no, I can’t look like that. I don’t mind if you want to make me a bit thinner and a bit younger, but you can’t give me a different jaw or eyebrows.’ But the vanity retouching – well, who wouldn’t?”

Hurley, who built a career out of sensuous outfits, says the best way for a woman to be sexy is to show off her back.

“I just love it. If I’m at a party and I see an amazing backless dress, it’s beautiful. Most women have pretty good backs, I think. It’s a good way to be sexy: a dress with no back.”

Pop star Ashlee Simpson appears in a red string bikini on the latest cover of Shape magazine.

The Little Miss Obsessive singer - who has refused to confirm rumours she is expecting her first child with fiance Pete Wentz - proudly shows off her toned figure on the front of the magazine’s May issue.

In the accompanying interview, Ashlee says: “Now I’m in shape. I never thought I’d be on the cover of a magazine in a bikini but now is the time and place to show the world how I’m feeling about myself.”

The magazine's cover was reportedly shot before the pregnancy rumours emerged.

Ashlee also revealed she has a monthly dinner party with her girlfriends, when everyone has the opportunity to display their culinary skills.

She added: "Last month, my friend showed us how to make the most delicious glazed carrots to go with baked chicken."

The 23-year-old singer appeared on US talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show, but when the host asked her whether she will soon add to her family, she would only reply: "Well, that has been going on for quite a while. That is something that I choose personally not to discuss."

Lindsay Burns, a 22-year-old fan was arrested at Chicago Crimson Lounge for jumping into Ronson’s DJ booth and for refusing to leave despite security’s orders. Burns was whisked away from the chi-chi nightclub in handcuffs for refusal to cooperate.

The Cheetah Girls creator Deborah Gregory has hit out at Disney bosses, alleging they've cheated her out of millions of dollars. The author wrote the original 16-book Cheetah Girls series which has gone onto become a hugely popular music and TV teen phenomenon.

Gregory claims she's only been paid $125,000 by Disney over the last nine years and that her repeated requests for "net profit participation statements" have fallen on deaf ears.

In an interview conducted inside her rented New York apartment, Gregory tells the Los Angeles Times, "People think I must be living in a palace, when they think of the success of The Cheetah Girls. But look at this place. It's a dump. I never dreamed things would turn out the way they did. I really believed I would be able to share in everything that was created, that I was going to be a participant. Well, honey, that was a sham."

"I'm someone who grew up in foster care with nothing. I have no family to this day. And what The Cheetah Girls represents to me and others is a chance to get out of the ghetto. It's a chance to transcend your background through sheer talent."

Disney spokeswoman Patti McTeague says, "Disney Channel doesn't comment on the terms of its contracts."

A series of controversial photographs of teen queen Miley Cyrus shot for Vanity Fair caused the magazine's website to crash.

Demand was so high from viewers wanting to see photos that the website logged more than four million hits on Monday.

It was unable to cope with the traffic and was temporarily shut down, it was reported.

Cyrus, 15, posed for the photos - shot by renowned snapper Annie Leibovitz - with her parents on set, but shot more photos when they left.

One photo in particular, showing Cyrus wrapped in nothing but a blanket, has caused controversy.

Parents and fans have been up in arms, while the Christian Coalition of America asked The Disney Channel - who broadcast Hannah Montana - to reprimand Miley for agreeing to the provocative shots.
